The 10.1-inch Acer Aspire One is officially official according to a press release issued this morning.
The 1.18 kilogram netbook sports an Intel Atom processor, Mobile Intel 945GSE Express Chipset or Mobile Intel 82801GBM Chipset, and up to 2 GB of DDR memory. Other features include Bluetooth, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, and optional embedded WiMAX or 3G radios.
The Aspire One runs on XP and has an impressive 7 hour battery life. While Acer didn’t include a launch date or pricing in the release, previous rumors have pinned the release sometime in February with a price tag of $399. A price that would be simply amazing for this netbook.
