Back in November 2008 Digitimes reported that a 10-inch Acer Aspire One netbook would be launched in February or March of this year. Since then no new details have emerged…until now. Specs have emerged tagging the Acer Aspire One-variant with a 10.1-inch display sporting the same 1024 x 600 resolution. A shame really. The majority of the features have remained the same with a few exceptions. There will be no hard disk drive/Linux combo, the storage expansion slot will be replaced with a multi-card reader, no onboard memory, a single DIMM slot with a 2 GB maximum capacity, and both 3G and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR will be optional.
In terms of design, the keyboard will remain the same but the trackpad will be more traditional looking with the buttons below rather than off to the side. Color options will be white, black and red. Now we just have to wait for price details, but judging by the specifications–if reliable–it’ll likely be similar to that of the current Acer Aspire One model.
