If you’re willing to fork out a bit of cash for a 2010 Range Rover, you’ll get in return an impressive info-tainment system embedded in the dashboard of your new and fine vehicle. The 12-inch touch-sensitive display that sits in the center console uses something called “Parallax Barrier Technology”. The technology, in effect, splits the screen in two vertically, enabling the driver to use half for a GPS navigation system, while the passenger can use half, for example, to watch a movie. In addition, the instrument panel will also utilize its own 12-inch touchscreen, displaying virtual dials and other performance information graphically. Together, the info-tainment system can be entirely voice-controlled. The system is hard disk drive-based and will have slots for USB drives and iPods.
