Better known as a netbook maker, Acer has confirmed it’ll launch its first smartphone February 16. The phone is designed by Acer and its recently acquired E-TEN, and will be debuted by Acer’s chief executive Gianfranco Lanci at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Unfortunately the company has played its cards close to the chest and not released any specifications other than the device will run Windows Mobile. Geez, maybe Acer should’ve never mentioned that.
