If you haven’t forgot about the Android Cupcake update yet, T-Mobile Germany has confirmation on its website that the long-awaited G1 upgrade will finally arrive for G1 owners in May. The Cupcake update will enabled G1 handsets to take advantage of some new features including an on-screen virtual keyboard, video recording and playback, one-click Picasa picture and YouTube video uploads, horizontal and vertical touchscreen orientation, and support for Bluetooth stereo handsets. There’s likely a good chance that Cupcake will arrive early in May, as the second Android-based handset, HTC’s Magic, is confirmed to launch May 5 with Vodafone in Europe.
