androiddevphone 150x150 Android dev phone gets Android 1.1 update, revised paid app policyAndroid Dev Phone 1 owners can now grab the Android 1.1 update released for the T-Mobile G1 a few weeks back.  The update includes a variety of bug fixes, voice search and support for Android Market paid apps.

Google also clarified how paid app downloads will work for the unlocked developer phone.  Previously it was stated that developer phones wouldn’t have any access to paid applications because it was possible to override the copy protection.  Now Google has amended its policy and dev phone owners won’t be able to download free or paid apps with copy protection.  That means if you’re a developer who wants to test an application on your phone and you copy protect it, you won’t be able to access it.  Bummer.
