T-mobile will be releasing an over-the-air 1.1 RC33 maintenance release for the G1 between February 5 and February 13, reports Crave.
While Crave wasn’t able to squeeze any details out of a T-Mobile spokesperson, TmoNews received a few tips that make it clear Cupcake won’t be involved in the update.
What we can expect follows:
- ability to save pictures or files from MMS messages to the memory card by long-pressing the selected item
- ability to check for system upgrades from the G1
- voice-activated Google search reached by a new icon
- fix for Comcast’s inability to retrieve more than one email
- fix for message stability issue (ever had a popup tell you, “Sorry! Activity messaging is not responding. Force close wall”.
- fix for IM logout when Wi-Fi is turned on or off
- fix for missed calendar reminders
- fix for hanging at the G1 screen when new phones are first turned on
I’ll keep you updated as I find out more, but keep an eye on the T-Mobile forums as well.
