Do you happen to be a contruction manager in a crime-ridden area, or a farmer in a rural municipality full of wild teenagers looking to take your combine for a joyride?  For you we introduce the AnyTrack GPS-120 from AnyDATA.  The small GPS device can attach to any part of your expensive heavy equipment and using assisted GPS technology allows you to track, in real-time, the exact location of your equipment via your PC.  That way, if your backhoe does go missing you’ll know exactly where it went.

The system also allows you to set up a geofence-basically a perimeter that when a piece of equipment passes alerts you via email or a text message on your mobile phone.  Simply connect it to your big rig’s 12V power source and you’re good to go, and when the vehicle is turned off the GPS receiver is powered by an internal battery.  It’ll cost you $229 for the AnyTrack GPS-120 and anywhere from $11/month to $19.95 per month for tracking services.  Just head over to AnyTrack and remove yourself from the nearly $1 billion/year equipment theft cost in the United States.

New AnyTrack GPS-120 Helps Equipment Rental and Construction Companies Lower Fuel Costs and Fight Theft

Cellular-enhanced GPS tracking device from AnyDATA Corporation adds layer
of security for high-value, wheeled or easily transportable equipment

IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ — AnyDATA Corporation, a global
leader in the design and manufacture of wireless communications devices,
has introduced the AnyTrack GPS-120, a real-time theft prevention and
inventory management tracking solution that minimizes the fuel costs,
operating expenses and downtime caused by unauthorized use and theft of
heavy equipment.

The AnyTrack GPS-120, which retails for $229, and service, are sold
direct to customers at http://www.anytrack.com. The company also plans to
distribute AnyTrack devices and service through authorized AnyTrack
dealers.

“Today, more than ever, companies are focused on minimizing theft and
unauthorized use to protect their bottom lines,” said Charles Napier, GM,
North America, AnyDATA Corporation. “The question they want answered is
‘Where is my equipment right now?’ The AnyTrack GPS-120 gives them an
effective, simple, cost efficient solution that answers their question in
real-time 24 hours a day.”

The cost of heavy equipment theft, according to the National Equipment
Register 2007 Equipment Theft Report, ranges between $300 million and $1
billion per year. “The AnyTrack GPS-120, paired with the AnyTrack Real-Time
Tracking System, silently monitors and reports the location of high-value,
mobile equipment, such as skid steer loaders, backhoe loaders and tractors,
anywhere in the U.S., to help reduce theft and unauthorized use,” said
Napier. “Business owners can monitor equipment locations through secure
access to the AnyTrack system via any PC connected to the Internet.” No
software is needed.

The AnyTrack GPS-120 also enables business owners to place a Geofence
– a virtual, GPS-enabled perimeter — around the tracked equipment. If the
equipment is moved outside the Geofence, indicating possible unauthorized
use or theft, the AnyTrack Real-Time Tracking System issues an alert via
mobile text message or email. Automatic tracking provides real-time
location data to aid in recovery.

In addition to configurable Geofencing and Automatic Tracking, the
GPS-120 also offers Locate on Demand and Location History. The device is
connected to the equipment’s 12V power and includes an internal battery to
power the device when the ignition is turned off.

The AnyTrack family of devices, including the new GPS-120, is enhanced
with A-GPS cellular technology that enables them to be located across the
U.S. — even if the equipment is indoors and the device cannot see the GPS
satellites. This advanced GPS capability means that AnyTrack devices can be
placed covertly anywhere in or on the equipment.

Conventional GPS devices must be placed in the open where they can
receive a direct line of sight to the satellite for signal transmission.
This prevents them from working in indoor locations such as garages,
warehouses, underground, under overpasses, or other secluded locations.

The AnyTrack GPS-120 is priced at $229. Tracking service ranges from
$11/month to $19.95/month. AnyDATA offers a 15-day trial program.
