Apple will one day have seamless integration between all of its products. So it follows that the same Google Maps integration with contacts on your iPhone or iPod Touch should be available through MobileMe, Apple’s information synchronization service for its mobile and Mac products. And now it is. Partially anyway.
Now MobileMe users using the web-based Contacts app will be able to see their contacts on a small Google Maps popup. While you can view the popup in map, satellite, or hybrid views, you can’t zoom in. But one click will bring you to Google Maps where you’ll have the full functionality. Great new feature for sure, but hopefully Google Maps will be integrated into other MobileMe apps in the future. Stuff like Calendar appointments and Gallery pictures would be first on my list.
