ASUS has debuted the Eee PC 1008HA today at CeBIT in Germany. The netbook formerly known as the Eee PC Shell sports a 10-inch display and a thin, airy form factor weighing in at 2.4 pounds with a 1-inch thickness.
The lid slips behind the keyboard casing when flipped up, trimming down the size even more. Despite the smaller overall form, the Eee PC 1008HA still looks to have a comfortably large keyboard and touchpad, and a larger Shift key on the right side of the keyboard.
It is also rumored the 1008HA will be compatible with the new ASUS Eee Docking application bar, enabling one-click file transfer between the netbook and Eee’s cloud-based media and gaming portal.
There isn’t any information regarding price and availability yet, but it is expected to be cheaper than the similar-looking ASUS S101 which carries a $550 price tag. UMPCPortal has a bunch of pictures, so head over there an check ‘em out!
