Augmented Traffic Views is an augmented reality Android application that helps drivers navigate around Toronto, Ontario. Rather than always overlaying traffic information over top of the camera view, the app pulls in geocoded traffic camera feeds from around the city. It then uses your GPS location and compass heading to choose which camera feeds to choose from. You’re also able to add custom points of interest to the overlay. Finally, the app has a driving mode that automatically deduces your location and shows camera feeds depending on where you are. This is completely handsfree.
