A WiFi-enabled Blackberry Storm 2 will be launched with Verizon Wireless this September, according to Slashgear citing a “source very close to the issue.” The current Blackberry Storm doesn’t have Wi-Fi despite it being a must-have feature these days. The source also said that the Blackberry Storm 2 would be an “even better pro-consumer device than the first Storm”, which could mean Research In Motion is also planning on adjusting the touchscreen. Many Blackberry users were less than impressed with a full touchscreen Blackberry after using keys for so long–I’m one of those that prefers keys. However I can’t see the Storm 2 not have some form of touch display, though I could see a QWERTY keyboard being worked into the new design somehow.
