Canada is finally getting Android!  Rogers Wireless announced this morning that it will be releasing both the HTC Magic and HTC Dream on its 3G network June 2.  The wireless provider hasn’t released pricing details yet but Canadians should be prepared to hitch themselves to a 3-year data plan.

The HTC Magic is the second commercially available smartphone based on Google’s Android operating system and has just recently been released with Vodafone in Europe.  It’s also expected to be released under T-Mobile as the MyTouch 3G.  The HTC Dream, also known as the T-Mobile G1, was the first Android phone to hit the market last October.

Across the globe in Japan, NTT DoCoMo will introduce the first Android phone in the country.  The carrier will release the HTC Magic in the near future under the name HT-o3A.

All of the handsets will be sporting the new Android 1.5 Cupcake operating system.
