Chrysler’s 200C electric concept car revolutionizes the way people interact with their car infotainment systems. Completely devoid of buttons, the Chrysler 200C uses multitouch technology patented by Nartron Corporation, the same technology used by Apple in its iPhone. Dubbed the iQ Power touchscreen system, the interface not only allows multitouch control of vehicle features by drivers and passengers within the vehicle, but can be controlled by a smartphone and integrate with home electronic systems such as security alarms, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. The front seat passenger has access to a UConnect tablet as part of the package enabling him to access and control entertainment and navigation, and even send recommendations to the driver. The Chrysler 200C with the iQ Power touchscreen system is expected to be commercially available in 2012.
