There are plenty of restaurant-finding iPhone applications available, but until now none of them allowed you to actually order food from inside the application.
Enter CityMint, a GPS-enabled iPhone application that detects your proximity, serves up a list of nearby restaurants (with mapped directions to each), each with its own interactive menu and ability to order with a tap of the touchscreen.
Ordering is quick and easy–no dialing or talking required. Just choose a restaurant, tap on the food items you want, and they’ll be automatically transferred to your shopping cart where the total cost is tabulated. Once your done, one more tap sends it off to your restaurant of choice, verified with an email confirmation.
Currently, CityMint has a database of over 1, 000 restaurants in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston and Seattle. While more cities would definitely be a positive, CityMint says it is continuing to add new restaurants and locations.
CityMint is available from the iTunes app store for $2.99. A small price to pay for such awesome convenience!
