cobra 7700 pro Cobra reappears with 7 inch 7700 PRO truck oriented GPS navigator

Cobra?  Who’s Cobra?  The company that makes radar detectors? Yep, but it still makes portable GPS navigators, too.  The company has announced the Cobra 7700 PRO, packed with truck-oriented data and a large 7-inch touch display to appeal to the professional driver.  All the usual features apply include text-to-speech, voice-guided turn-by-turn directions, a car mode, 3 months of unlimited access to the Cobra AURA Camera & Driving Hazard Database, over 33, 000 truck-specific points of interest, 12 million ‘regular’ points of interest, and customized routing based on truck dimensions in the lower 48 United States and Canada.  Shipping in October, the Cobra 7700 PRO will set you back $580.

I have used Magellan, Garmin and Tom Tom GPS units driving team across Canada and the US, all car units, and every single one was better than the Cobra.
Luckily it was my co-driver who wasted his money on this one. I'll keep using my trusty car Magellan, yes it means I have to think for myself, but then I think you should do that anyway.
The screen on the Cobra is too big, the resolution is appalling, it is the most user unfriendly device I have seen in a long time, maps are more out of date than on my 2 year old Magellan... and like Walt said, it gives false warnings (not only for low clearances, btw there are not many INTERSTATES with low clearances))
Buy anything else, I don't think there's anything worse on the market than this...

I have one, I have used it on the road for about a month.
    DON'T GET ONE!!!!!
It keeps giving false low clearances. Once it did this on the interstate in Indiana it said 13' 2" I hit the brakes and moved to the sholder to stop before hitting. Good thing no one was behind me. It turned out that the overpass was over 14'. It has routed me down streets with a 12' 2" underpass without any warnings. The road data is so out of date. It likes to freeze up a lot. It never gets the destination address right.
I am sending it back, I just hope they don't get someone hurt or killed with this thing.
