Crackulous, the one-click cracking application for iPhone and iPod Touch software, is available for free download from the Hackulous Cydia Repo. The application removes protection from Apple applications, so users can share them with friends without requiring multiple downloads from the iTune’s application store.
The project was started by programmer SaladFork with the intention to open source the code. “I’ve filled the source code heavily with comments explaining exactly what it’s doing and how it’s doing it. My hope is that Crackulous can be a learning resource for all the prospective iPhone developers out there, and will be able to revolutionize the cracking scene by producing a standard for application quality and functionality that can easily be reproduced to great effect,” SaladFork told TorrentFreak.
Crackulous is now maintained by Angel who has added a full GUI to the application, which, in addition to its one-click operation makes it incredibly easy to use. The real question now is: what will Apple do about this, if in fact it can do anything?
