The site is a heat map of the United States showing the concentration of fatal drinking and driving accidents. The map, which draws on the Google Maps Flash API and data from the National Traffic Safety Administration (NTSA), can also be viewed state by state.
I find it interesting that the eastern half of the US appears to have significantly more DUI fatalities than it western counterpart. Why is that?
