It seems these days that it’s just not fashionable to keep your eyes on the road; at least not through the windshield anyway. A argumentative point here is a new video-processing technology from Fujitsu that uses four video cameras to provide a complete wraparound, real-time view of the space surrounding your car. Fujitsu believes this will enhance the driver’s field of view, in effect enhancing the driver’s safety. If you happen to be in New York from now until November 20, Fujitsu is showing their new technology off at the 15th World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems & ITS America’s 2008 Annual Meeting and Exposition.
