We’ve seen the Fujitsu LifeBook U2010, and now Fujitsu’s LifeBook U820 looks to pack built-in GPS and Garmin Mobile PC software as well. Aside from its navigational functionality, the LifeBook U820 offers up nanodimensions of 6.73(w) x 6.14(d) x 1.46(h) inches, a 5.6-inch Crystal View WXGA touch screen that supports 1280 x 800 resolution, a 1.6 GHz Intel Centrino Atom Z530 processor, 1 GB DDR2 533 MHz SDRAM dual-channel memory, and a 1.3 megapixel web cam. And there’s more. 802.11 a/b/g/draft-n Atheros XSPAN Wi-Fi, either a 60GB or 120GB 1.8-inch hard disk drive, and an SD card slot.
For GPS enthusiasts, the United States model will feature pre-loaded maps of the United States and Canada, a POI database numbering in the millions, turn-by-turn directions, and route planning. The base price of the Fujitsu LifeBook U820 will run a reasonable $1, 049.
