Garmin has introduced the GDU 370 and GDU 375 GPS navigators for light retrofit and experimental aircraft.  Designed to be networked with other Garmin products and based on the GPSMAP 695 and GPSMAP 696, the navigators are building blocks capable of being extended to become primary flight displays.

Both the GDU 370 and GDU 375 have large, 7-inch portrait displays viewable in light or darkness, dedicated keys on the sides and bottom of the display for easy navigation, and a joystick for panning and scrolling.

On the front of the device is an SD card slot and on the back is a 50-pin connector that keeps wire clutter out of the way.   Both units come with the standard Garmin mapping products for aviation navigators, as well as an XM WX Satellite Weather receiver.

Slated for arrival in March, Garmin’s GDU 370 and GDU 375 will cost $3, 295 and $3, 995 respectively.  Add-on components can be bought separately or purchased as a primary flight display, Garmin’s G3X, for $9, 995.  Hit the read link for all the details.
