Garmin has increased the amount of downloadable content available on its website. The company has always made all of its mapping content available on pre-loaded SD cards or DVDs that could be purchased via its website. But in the name of convenience most of it can now be quickly paid for and downloaded onto compatible GPS units.
Also available is Garmin’s new cityXplorer maps which are designed specifically for pedestrian and public transport navigation. They come with the purchase of Garmin’s new nuvi 1200 and nuvi 1300 lines and the nuvi 1490T, but they can be purchased for older units as well. You can check out the new downloadable content here.
