Garmin is now offering nuMaps Lifetime allowing users a single-fee payment for quarterly map updates as long as the Garmin GPS lasts. nuMaps Lifetime can be downloaded from Garmin’s website to your computer and then transferred to your GPS device. Each time there is a map update you’ll receive a notification email so you don’t have to constantly check yourself. nuMaps Lifetime is available in three versions. City Navigator North America NT costs $119.99, City Navigator Europe NT costs $139.99 and City Navigator Transatlantic will set you back $149.99. Unfortunately the subscription isn’t transferable if you purchase a new device. Single map updates, under the name nuMaps Onetime, are still available for $69.99.
