Rich from GPSTracklog has been hot on the trail of the upcoming Garmin nuvi 1690 lately, the company’s first connected device for North America, which recently appeared in the FCC database. Doing a little more digging this morning, he found the quick start guide for the nuvi 1690 (PDF) which reveals a few more details about the device which has yet to be announced by Garmin. Among them:
- Google Local-powered search
- ‘Nuinfo’ connected services
- Live traffic, Bluetooth, lane assist, junction views
- A powered mount
- A temperature sensor
Rich estimates that Garmin will make the nuvi 1690 official in early September.
