Judging by an REI flyer, it looks like Garmin will be updating its outdoor handheld Oregon line very soon. The flyer appears to confirm the existence of a Garmin Oregon 500 as well as a Garmin Oregon 500T. GPSReview says that product numbers on REI’s website lists the two models as Oregon 550 and Oregon 550T, but either which way there is a Garmin Oregon 5xx line in the pipeline. Features look to be very similar to the Oregon 4xx line, but the 5xx line adds in a digital camera that will likely include automatic geotagging. While details are pretty minimum at the moment, it appears the Oregon 5xx and Oregon 5xxt will be priced at $549 and $599, respectively.
