With the crazy nature of the navigation market this year we completely forgot about the trademark infringement suit filed by internet telephony provider Nuvio back in February against PND maker Garmin. The suit accused Garmin of infringing on the Nuvio name with their upcoming nuviphone wireless navigation device. The suit has been dismissed after the two parties reached a confidential settlement outside of court which pleased both sides. Nuvio thought that the nuviphone name would confuse customers as the two are not related in any way, proving that the telephony company figures the global consumer market consists of a whole bunch of idiots. Thank you Nuvio.
