Garmin’s zumo 660, the latest addition to its motorcyle GPS line, will be shipping from online retailer GPSCity later this month. Announced at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year, the zumo 660 is available for pre-order now and I’m guessing will likely be sold out by the time the first order ships on April 29. Best bet is to pre-order now if you’re gearing up for the biker months.
The zumo 660 is designed specifically for motorcycles, featuring a 4.3-inch touch display with larger icons than its nuvi sister series. The touchscreen, sunlight-readable of course, can also be used wearing gloves. Bluetooth is included so riders can receive turn-by-turn directions through a compatible headset, and maps of North America are included. Maps of other countries can be ordered on a DVD or online for download to a SD or microSD card.
Be prepared to pay up the piehole though. The Garmin zumo 660 will ship for $799.99 in the United States. It’ll be available in Canada the same day for the appropriately converted currency. At least you get free shipping and an automotive suction cup mount with that.
