Geospatial Experts is by no means a new company in the location-based services space. Originally debuting a photo geotagging software called GPS-Photo Link in 2001, the software has become popular among mapping professionals under the name GPS-Photo Link GIS Pro.
Now, looking to appeal to the mainstream consumer space, Geospatial Experts a new geotagging software called GPS-Photo Link Express Series. The company says the software is very easy to use, runs on both laptop and desktop computers, and is compatible with any handheld GPS receiver and digital camera. It also supports some cellphone cameras including the iPhone.
I’ve never tried any product from Geospatial Experts, but the first thing I noticed when looking at the company’s product roster is the high prices. Expect to pay $149 for standalone GPS-Photo Link Express Series software. And if you want the Pro version, you’ll pay $329.
