Gigabyte’s M528 GPS-enabled mobile internet device is been a focus of discussion in the blogosphere since May, but when it originally became available for pre-order the price was a whopping $1130.  Despite its amazing features, a 4-figure price point was hardly an incentive for purchase.  Time’s change though, and Expansys now has the M528 available for only $684.99, nearly half the price.

Weighing in at well under a pound and sporting a 4.8-inch LCD touchpanel, the Gigabyte M528 not only offers a built-in GPS receiver, but runs on a powerful 800 MHz Menlow CPU (soon to be known as Atom) and Linux-based operating system.  It also features Bluetooth 2.0, wireless LAN capabilities, and an HSDPA mini card module amongst several other high-end specs.  For a full list, head over to the Expansys website.
