GiSTEQ TripBook turns your cigarette lighter into a GPS mileage tracker

It’s been some time since we last mentioned GiSTEQ, a company that builds photogeotaggers.  But it’s back in the news with TripBook, a USB dongle made specifically for vehicular mileage tracking.  Basically the device plugs into your vehicle’s lighter slot, which provides the juice needed for it to track all the usual route and distance details of your roadtrip.  Once your back at home you simply plug the device into your PC’s–once again, no Mac support–USB slot and upload the data in order to create an IRS-compliant mileage report.  Hmmm, that’s different.  TripBook is available from GiSTEQ for $99 including the device, vehicle adapter, USB cable and all the required software.
