Globalsat’s GPS Director GD-101 is the company’s latest digital compass, sporting dimensions of 60 x 60 x 28 millimeters and weighing 45 grams including its two AAA battery power source. Behind its 96 x 95 pixel resolution black and white display is an LED backlight, helping to illuminate a GPS signal strength meter, battery gauge, and directions to your choice of five different destination points. At full power a pair of AAA batteries last for 18 hours and the GD-101 has a power-saving mode that will pull some extra life out of them. We’re still waiting for pricing and availability details.
