Stuck on the New York City subway?  Don’t know where the hell you are or where you’re headed?  If that’s an affirmative you’ll be happy to know that Google Maps has added the entire metropolitan New York public transportation system to its growing list of transit planners.

Part of the company’s big push to get more people using public transportation, and do their part in reducing carbon dioxide emissions in the process, the new transit maps add in Google Street View and value-added services such as restaurant reviews.

Google’s Transit trip planner now covers 170 major cities worldwide, 70 of those in North America.
