Google Earth gets 3 more European cities in 3D

oslo 3d Google Earth gets 3 more European cities in 3DThe 3D Buildings Layer in Google Earth is one of my favorite features because I can explore the world from my own home.  Sure, it’s not nearly as good as traveling to a place you’ve always wanted to see, but there’s no arguing it’s easier on the wallet.  So, I’m happy to see that Google has added 3 more large European cities in 3D to Google Earth–Oslo, Prague and Warsaw.  Most of the 3D imagery is autogenerated from aerial imagery; only some has been contributed by the Google SketchUp community which often brings more accuracy and detail to the picture.  But hey, autogenerated 3D is better than no 3D.  Check out the video below for a quick preview and then head to Google Earth and check out the new 3D landscapes!
