
The first Google Earth images taken after Monday morning’s L’Aquila, Italy earthquake have emerged. If you haven’t heard yet, a magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck the Abruzza region of Italy and sadly its epicenter was the town of L’Aquila, roughly 100 kilometers northeast of Rome. Officials believe more than 200 people were killed.
All of the images can be viewed by downloading this KML file and loading it in Google Earth. Google Italy has set up a dedicated page where various organizations are accepting donations for the victims of this tragedy.
