As a public transportation user, I know the headaches associated with finding bus directions and arrival times while out and about. It’s easy enough to find what you need on the web if you’re sitting at home, but not so easy if you’re on the fly. Google Maps For Mobile Version 2.2 aims to fix this, granting mobile access to transit directions in all the same places as Google Maps. If you live in a bigger American city, you’ll must likely find your hometown included. According to the Google Mobile blog, the mobile version of Google Maps has a few features not yet found on the desktop version including the latest bus arrival times, using the My Location feature on your phone to more easily set the starting point of your trip, and easy browsing through earlier or later bus times.
