If you’re a regular reader here, you’re well aware of some of the privacy concerns surrounding Google Street View. And while some concerned citizens have tried wielding the political sword to get Google gone, Broughton, UK resident Paul Jacobs decided to evoke a good ol’ fashioned angry mob instead.
Upon spotting a Street View car, Jacobs asked the driver to leave the area and when the request was rejected, the angry man rounded up an equally angry group of neighbors. Eventually the Street View car was chased out of the town.
As per usual it seems, the mob stemmed from concern that criminals would use Street View to assist in the suddenly popular breaking-and-entering pastime.
