Ah, the magic of Google Street View. In September of 2008, a 14 year old Dutch boy was knocked off his bike, assaulted and then to top it off, had his bike stolen. The boy gave police a description of the two muggers but nothing ever came of the investigation. That is, until the crime appeared in Google Street View. Police requested Google send them the image with the faces unblurred resulting in the identification of the muggers–one of which was responsible for a string of similar crimes.
