I’m the first person to admit I never remember where I park, plus my internal GPS system doesn’t work at all so it probably wouldn’t matter if I did. That’s why I was pleasantly surprised to come across Car Spotter for the iPhone. The app, created by California-based GP Apps, lets you tap a car icon which then calculates the position of your car using the iPhone’s GPS. Then once you’re leaving the crowded shopping mall or wherever you happen to be, you just tap the Find Car icon and voila-you’re guided to you vehicle either by traditional or hybrid map, or text directions.
If you’re ultra-challenged, Car Spotter also lets you zoom in on your car, and use audio or text notes to jot down nearby landmarks or your parking meter expiration time. Available now from Apple’s app store, Car Spotter will set you back a perfectly reasonable $0.99.
