Clarion showcased their ClarionMind Linux-based GPS device at the Intel Developer Forum, not surprisingly because it runs on an Intel Atom processor. First shown off at CES earlier this year, the ClarionMind features a 4.8-inch 800 x 480 pixel touchscreen, media playback, hands-free Bluetooth calling, WiFi, and integrated internet search/GPS functioning for POI search. Designed for both in-car and portable use, the ClarionMind includes 512 MB of DRAM, 4 GB of flash memory, two USB ports and an SD card slot. Expect a public release sometime in the fourth quarter of 2008.
