Dash Express Owners Like Starbucks, WiFi, and Sex
If you’re familiar with the new Dash GPS, you’ll know that the device “crowdsources” traffic data in order to provide up-to-date and super-accurate traffic info beyond what’s available between the likes of traffic sensor and government data. The Dash GPS also has a search feature via Yahoo that’ll let you type in, for example, McDonald’s and you’ll be routed to the nearest greasy burger joint. Of course, Dash collects all of this information and in the last month, collected Dash search results have been interesting. So what are the most popular searches? Says Rob Curry, the president and CEO of Dash: Currently [Dash] users search twice per day in their car - for restaurants, gas, pizza, WiFi, Starbucks, Home Depot, and In-n-Out burger in California. Plus Dash can separate search stats based upon the time of day they’re searched. For example, IHOP and Dunkin’ Donuts are popular morning searches and SEX, yes that’s right, SEX is a popular nighttime search!
