Navigon Gives Map Updates Time To Freshen Up With New FreshMaps Service
The usability of portable navigation devices can make a break a unit’s potential success in the marketplace. A unit packed with high-end features, but with a poorly designed graphical user interface and excessive difficulty in actually using the features, the unit as a whole is no longer high-end. Navigon takes this a step further, simplifying map and firmware updates with a new service called Navigon FreshMaps. By downloading a free application called Navigon Fresh, Navigon GPS users will be able to manage data and updates via Navigon’s website. Then with the a one-time fee of $79.99 you can add FreshMaps to the platform guaranteeing you 12 Navteq field-tested map updates over a three-year period virtually automating the PND map-updating process for all Navigon devices.
