Guidepoint Connect Bluetooth car kit
Guidepoint Systems is shipping Guidepoint Connect, a Bluetooth kit for vehicles that offers roadside assistance and emergency dispatch (also called “OnStar for everyone else”). The four-button, in-vehicle solution is designed to be mounted on the steering column and provides hands-free calling, iPhone and iPod music integration, and can be combined with Guidepoint’s separately sold GPS tracking device for location-based services. Shipping through car dealerships and mobile electronics retailers, Guidepoint Connect costs $399 plus installation fees.
