HTC’s second Android-powered handset, the Sapphire, will be released in May, according to Digitimes. Sources “familiar with the company’s latest roadmap” also revealed that HTC will team up with Vodafone to promote the Android-powered Sapphire in the United Kingdom as well as T-Mobile in the United States.
Apparently HTC has other Android phones in the works as well.
Starting the second quarter of 2009, HTC will introduce more Android-based handsets for other telecom service providers worldwide, added the sources.
The article also revealed that HTC’s Touch Cruise will be released as the O2 XDA Guide in the United Kingdom.
