Looks like I”m on a real estate kick today. Trulia, the hyperlocal real estate listing search engine, has just announced the Trulia Partner Program. The Partner Program allows not only the real-estate-affiliated, but publishers, to promote Trulia Pro, a marketing tool that allows agents to feature listings and serve up local ads.
In essence, it gives agents another way to monetize their real estate listings and their personal brand. Each sign up for Trulia Pro will net you between $34 and $40, and for each annual Pro subscription you’ll be rewarded with $95-$100.
Promotional tools will include banner ads for websites and text links that can be popped into email newsletters, probably quite effective for those with sizeable mailing lists. In this real estate market, any way to earn a little extra cash can’t hurt.
With home prices continuing to slide, at least we’re on our way to the bottom, after which there will be no other way to go but up. That’s why the Partner Program’s launch is so brilliantly timed. Offer agents a little extra cash in a bear market, and Trulia will reap the rewards when the market inevitably heads back up.
