Ever heard the say “go big or go home”? Apparently Japan’s I-O Data hasn’t as it’s launched the simplest USB GPS key I’ve ever seen. With nothing more than a SiRFStarIII GPS chip packed in, the USBGPS2/SMD9 comes with Super Mapple Digital v9, Japanese map software that’s apparently quite popular. The 18 gram device costs 16, 000 yen or US$174. Yeah, I think I’d put my dollars to better use elsewhere.
