i-Track Interactive London Zoo Adventure Uses Node Explorer GPS

The London Zoo has partnered up with Node, maker of the Node Explorer handheld GPS, to offer a GPS-guided interactive zoo exhibit.  Instead of the map leaflet you’re handed out at the zoo guiding you around, the Node uses built-in GPS technology that plays back video, audio, and textual content dependent on your location in the zoo.  The new navigational zoo experience named i-Track will be offered at the Regent’s Park site, as well as Eden Park and a couple of other locations later this summer.

i-Track is based on a storyline where one of the zookeeper’s has gone missing and visitors must use the Node Explorer to access the zoo’s internal network and complete a variety of challenges in order to discover why the zookeeper has gone missing.  The 2.5 hour interactive adventure will give visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the deeper conservational mission of the zoo.
