It was only mid-January when Apple announced it had 15, 000 applications available in the App Store. A month later and there are now 20, 000 apps available, according to Macworld which counted the Apptism app database. Prior to last month, the last official Apple count of 10, 000 apps was in December, so judging by exact dates it takes a few less days each month to add another 5, 000 applications. Expect the growth rate to continue to pick up steam. It’ll be hard for any platform to catch Apple now.
