Here’s a little Friday afternoon tidbit for you. According to Compete.com, visits to Palm.com and Sprint.com the week of the Palm Pre announcement equalled a little under 400, 000. That isn’t too shabby compared to the 600, 000 visits Apple received after the first iPhone was launched at Macworld in 2007. As you can see though, aggregate traffic these day inquiring about the Palm Pre has slipped below 100, 000. Compare that to the 300, 000 visits Apple received in regards to the iPhone prior to its 2007 release. I realize that it’s tough to live up to the marketing genius of Steve Jobs, but should Palm think about drumming up a little bit more buzz?
