Jeep GPS Navigator RT-300 Gets Sub-Par Review

01425i22243100 Jeep GPS Navigator RT 300 Gets Sub Par Review

PCMag got their paws on the $299 Jeep GPS Navigator RT-300 and were less than impressed.  Given that the GPS unit is Jeep-branded once would expect it to be rugged and while it may be tough looking, it’s not waterproof and its 3.5-inch display isn’t really suited to off road types.  Oh, and it doesn’t actually have an off-road mode either.  While it does have text-to-speech and included maps of the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico, it does have some pretty serious route calculation problems.  Given the price, undoubtedly high because of the Jeep name, it’s probably best to find a better PND for a lower price somewhere else.  In the end PCMag gave it a sore 2 out of 5 rating.
