Toyota will be adding the optional Lexus Insider voice messaging system to its Lexus vehicles later this year. Lexus Insider allows the company to send voice messages directly to its vehicles based on ZIP code or vehicle type. And while some detractors are comparing the system to the junk mail we receive in our home mailboxes, Toyota says Lexus Insider won’t be used to deliver marketing messages. Instead, when a Lexus owner starts her vehicle, she’ll see new messages that include topics such as a scenic route drive in her area, or how to make the best use of her vehicle’s features. Lexus Insider of part of a larger interactive package coming to Lexus vehicles known as Enform.
